Compact in design as a 19″ built-in device or as a “stand-alone” variant, announcement devices from bustec can be integrated for any application in the context of passenger information in the vehicle. Our announcement systems for bus and train are extremely reliable. In addition, our announcement technology for stop announcements is characterised by the uncomplicated transfer and processing of various data formats via USB/Ethernet interface. The extra information provided by voice announcements is particularly appreciated by visually impaired passengers.
bustec announcement systems are available with or without amplifier in both versions as LowCost or HighEnd system with a 32mB – 64mB memory. Operation on an existing amplifier unit is possible without any problems via a “loop-in” procedure. Thus MP3 formats can be read out in spoken or synthetic language. bustec announcement technology impresses with high sound quality at low cost – the entry into the acoustic world with the plus of information in the passenger area.
Interfaces of our announcement technology
Various interfaces, such as IBIS, RS485 and Ethernet (10/1000 Mbit), are available for control or data update. Optionally, bustec announcement technology is also available with other interfaces.
The BT84x announcement device is an Ethernet-based system. This makes it possible to use VoIP (Voice over IP) as well. One example of this is the integration with the BT820, with which announcements can be made via the driver’s microphone.
Children’s voices on the bus?
With our announcement devices for bus and train the technical possibilities are given to individualize the own local traffic. Announcements don’t always have to be dry and serious. Transportation companies use different children’s voices to announce stops.
